Stormwater Best Management Practices Mobile Workshop

About this Event

The Mobile Workshop tour will highlight nature-based design practices, green infrastructure techniques, and discuss the environmental and financial benefits of adopting these unique approaches to stormwater management. Participants will visit several locations throughout Monroe County that are currently implementing these practices with great success and have embraced all the benefits they provide. Join SWDR participants, township supervisors, community leaders, engineers, local business owners, residents and anyone interested in how environmentally-conscious development can support both resource protection and economic development.

Join us for this enjoyable and informative tour that will allow you to better engage in the planning process, at any level, and gain a greater understanding of how we can implement various design techniques to improve the overall health of our local landscape. Lunch is included at Mountain View Vineyard.

Sites will include:

  • Cherry Valley Wildlife Refuge (former Cherry Valley Golf Course)
  • Ray Price Auto
  • Northampton Community College, Monroe Campus
  • Mountain View Vineyard

PDH credits will be available for this workshop.

Tour will begin and end at the Monroe County Conservation District Administrative Offices at Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center/Wildlife Sanctuary, 8050 Running Valley Road, Stoudsburg, PA 18360. Parking is available.
